The Parish Council is currently responding to a number of large planning applications, in part due to the lack of an up-to-date local plan, which has led to an increase in speculative applications from housing developers.
On this page we have provided documents that explain the background to the situation, the Parish Council approach to new development, our reponses to any current major planning applications, letters we have sent to MP’s and the government and any relevant Parish Council policies.
To help us in preparing accurate and detailed responses planning applications we are asking local residents if they can help us to build a database of evidence of flooding and sewage incidents and local wildlife sightings by completing a short form, which can be found here : https:/news/environmental-information-report/.
We have also included links to local and national policy documents and background information that residents may find useful when compiling their own responses to planning applications. When formulating a response to an application, residents are advised to first read the Parish Council comments, which will provide a useful steer on the relevant ‘material considerations’ that the local planning authority will take in to account when determining major development applications.
